Andrew Weinberg - President (Miami)

Originally from Longmeadow, Massachusetts and has lived in South Florida since 1984.

Senior Executive with extensive experience in both the corporate and non-profit sectors.

Expert in driving operational efficiency, achieving sales excellence, serving as effective organizational leadership, cultivating targeted relationships, and promoting international business development.

Proactive leader championing organizational integrity, major financial growth, and staff development. Known for partnering at all levels and effecting change as a true business strategist.

Played an integral role in the continued growth and revenue generation of a successful aviation parts company. Has travelled extensively worldwide in developing a globally based list of customers including OEM’s, Airlines, Leasing Companies, MRO’s and Private Asset Owners.

Simultaneously, established and continued to grow major local non-profit focused on providing interest-free loans to the South Florida Jewish community. Andrew’s involvement and idea for the creation of a charitable organization was instilled when he was just a young boy. Since inception in 1989, as a Chief Volunteer Officer, Andrew has been the driving force in the day-to-day operations, fundraising, board development, public awareness and growth of HFLA of South Florida, Inc. 501c3.

Served as Lead Committee Member initiating affiliation process to become an accredited member agency of International Association of Jewish Free Loans; umbrella Agency provides ongoing support of member agencies globally. Also managed creation of umbrella organization’s sustainability platform and increased member agencies to 45.
Managed marketing initiative aimed at creating additional global brand awareness, inclusive of strategies and implementation. Contracted with Georgetown University MBA students (2010-2012) in establishing a full branding action plan.

Recently oversaw creation of a Growth & Leadership Committee for Strategic Planning; areas cover best practices, marketing plans to grow agency base, elevator pitches, mentoring, etc.

Elected to serve as President of IAJFL in October 2013 for two-year initial term. Plans include growing membership to 55 global agencies, establishing new dues structure, planning annual conferences, overseeing a website overhaul, and leading fundraising activities for the organization.

Andrew’s time and commitments have always been voluntary – from creating charitable programs with his Temple involvements, a founding member of the South Florida Young Entrepreneurs Organization and in creating a Dad’s Activity Club for families attending the University School of Nova Southeastern, to name but a few. He enjoys fitness training, reading, music, travel and spending time with close friends and family. He has two fantastic sons, Matthew (22) and Zachary (21).
